🥘 Ingredients
- bacon 200 g
- leeks 2
- orzo pasta 300 g
- water 6 dl
- vegetable stock 10 g
- peas 200 g
- parmesan 50 g
- cream ½ dl
- lemon 1
- salt 1 pinch
- pepper 1 pinch

1If your bacon comes in slices, cut them into dice first.

2Heat a sauté pan over medium heat and fry the bacon until golden and crisp. Lift the bacon out of the pan and let it drain on a piece of kitchen paper.

3Rinse and slice the leeks into thin rings.

4Fry the leeks soft and glossy in the bacon fat for 4 minutes over medium heat.

5Add the orzo pasta to the pan and pour in the water and the vegetable stock . Let the pasta cook for 7 minutes until al dente.

6If the peas are fresh, pod them. Grate the parmesan coarsely.

7When the pasta is nearly tender, add the cream , the juice of the lemon , the peas and two thirds of the grated parmesan. Stir until the pasta is creamy.

8Season to taste with salt and pepper .

9Serve the pasta with the bacon and the rest of the parmesan on top.
