Homemade Kebab

🥘 Ingredients

  • garlic 1 clove
  • salt ½ tsp
  • ground black pepper a bit
  • oregano ½ tbsp
  • cumin ¼ tsp
  • olive oil 2 tbsp
  • greek-style soy yoghurt 120 g
  • lemon ¼
  • chicken breasts 2
  • onion ½

  • refrigerator
  • oven
  • skewer
  • oven tray
  • baking paper

    Add garlic , salt , ground black pepper , oregano , cumin , olive oil , greek-style soy yoghurt , and the juice from lemon into a bowl and whip it all together.

    Add chicken breasts , mix well, and put in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes (or up to 1440 minutes ) so that the chicken absorbs all the flavors.

    Pull out the chicken from the fridge and pre-heat the oven at 200C

    Use onion as a base, and insert a stick vertically to use as a skewer .

    Place the base on an oven tray covered with baking paper .

    Stick the chicken breasts cut into smaller pieces into the skewer. Rotate the pieces so that the pile is compact.

    Put in the #&oven for 60-90 minutes , until the chicken is golden and crusty on the sides.

    Cool down for 10-15 minutes before cutting the chicken.

    Serve with pita bread, tzatziki, feta cheese, and vegetables (e.g., aubergines, zucchinis, salad, tomatoes).
