  • butter 1 cup
  • confectioners' sugar 1 cup
  • granulated sugar 1 cup
  • eggs 2
  • vegetable oil 1 cup
  • vanilla 2 tsp
  • baking soda 1 tsp
  • cream of tartar 1 tsp
  • salt Β½ tsp
  • flour 5 cups

    Preheat oven to 350Β°F.

    In medium bowl , cream butter with confectioners' sugar and 1 cup granulated sugar . Beat in eggs until smooth. Slowly stir in vegetable oil , vanilla , baking soda , cream of tartar , salt , and flour .

    Chill for easy handling. Shape into walnut size balls. Dip in sugar. Place on baking sheet and press down. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes .
