1Prepare: raw walnuts , extra virgin olive oil , panko breadcrumbs , A pinch ground turmeric, flaky sea salt , Aleppo pepper or red pepper flakes , Freshly cracked black pepper.

2Finely chop the walnuts. Line a plate with parchment paper.

3Heat a medium frying pan over medium heat. After a minute or two, add the olive oil and walnuts. Cook for 2-3 minutes , stirring frequently to prevent burning, or until starting to turn color.

4Add the panko, turmeric, flaky salt, Aleppo pepper, and black pepper to taste. Stir to combine, stirring very frequently to avoid burning. Cook until the panko is golden brown, 2 to 3 minutes.

5Transfer to the parchment paper and spread out. Once cool, use the paper to funnel the mixture into a labeled jar, then seal and store in a cool, dry place for up to 1 month.
