🥘 Ingredients
- chicken breasts 2 lbs
- broccoli 1 lb
- olive oil 3 tbsp
- garlic 4 cloves
- salt
- pepper
- red pepper flakes
- spaghetti 4 oz
- chicken broth 1 cup
- heavy cream ½ cup
- butter 2 tbsp
- Parmesan cheese ½ cup
- parsley
-
1Prep: 10%minutes
-
2Brown chicken breasts in a large skillet over medium-high heat, about 5%minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Set aside.
-
3Add broccoli to the skillet and sauté for 3%minutes until starting to soften.
-
4Remove the skillet from heat and set aside.
-
5Add olive oil and garlic to the skillet and sauté over medium heat for 1%minute until fragrant. Season with salt , pepper , and red pepper flakes if desired.
-
6Add spaghetti to the skillet and pour in chicken broth . Stir well to dissolve the crispy browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Nestle the chicken pieces into the skillet.
-
7Place a lid on the skillet, turn the heat up to medium-high, and let the broth come to a full boil. Then turn the heat down to low. Let the skillet simmer for 15 minutes or until most of the broth is absorbed.
-
8After about 15%minutes, the orzo should be tender and most of the broth absorbed, but there will still be a little sauce in the skillet. Remove the chicken from the skillet.
-
9Add heavy cream and butter to the skillet. Stir and heat over low until the butter melts and the cream is hot.
-
10Add Parmesan cheese and stir to combine.
-
11Finally, return the chicken to the skillet. Garnish with parsley . ```
