Low Fat Restaurant style Matar Paneer
Recipe for a low fat restaurant style matar paneer, made healthier, so it is no longer an indulgence, but transformed into a simple everyday curry.

🥘 Ingredients
- oil 1 tsp
- cashewnuts 1 tbsp
- ginger 1 tsp
- garlic 6 cloves
- onion 2
- salt
- tomatoes 3
- turmeric powder ½ tsp
- turmeric powder ½ tsp
- red chilli powder 1 tsp
- coriander powder 2 tsp
- cumin powder 1 tsp
- water ½ cup
- salt
- green peas 1 cup
- paneer 200 g
- garam masala powder ½ tsp
- kasuri methi 1 tsp

1Heat oil in a pan and dry roast cashewnuts until very lightly golden. Remove and allow to cool.

2Add ginger and garlic to the same pan along with onion . Cook on a low-medium flame with a pinch of salt for 8-10 minutes until the onions are soft.

3Stir in tomatoes with turmeric powder . Allow to cook for 7-8 minutes until the tomatoes collapse and turn into a mush.

4Transfer the contents of the pan into a small mixer/blender. Combine turmeric powder , red chilli powder , coriander powder , and cumin powder and blend to a fine puree using up to water to aid the blending process.

5Pour this puree into the same pan. Season with salt and simmer for 3-4 minutes .

6Add green peas to this gravy along with paneer and simmer for 5 minutes so that the spices infuse into the peas and paneer.

7Sprinkle garam masala powder and kasuri methi . Give it one last stir and remove into a serving bowl.
