Peanut Butter and Banana Dog Cake

• coconut oil splash
• whole wheat flour 1 cup
• baking soda ½ tsp
• peanut butter 1/3 cup
• banana 1
• applesauce 1/4 cup
• egg

   Preheat your oven to 180°C fan and grease a small cake pan . I like using coconut oil for greasing; it adds a subtle flavor.

   In a large bowl , mix the whole wheat flour and baking soda together. Tip: Sifting the flour can prevent lumps for a smoother batter.

   Add the peanut butter , banana , applesauce , and egg to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Tip: Overmixing can make the cake dense, so stop once everything is incorporated.

   Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula. Tip: Tapping the pan on the counter a few times removes air bubbles for an even bake.

   Bake for 20-25 minutes , or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool completely before serving to your pup.
