  • powdered sugar 2 cups
  • dark chocolate 12 oz
  • butter 1 tbsp

  • wax paper

    Melt unsalted butter and golden brown sugar in a heavy saucepan over medium-high heat. Bring to a boil for 2 minutes .

    Stir in heavy cream , instant coffee (if using), and salt . Boil for 30 seconds while stirring.

    Remove from heat and cool for 10 minutes . Stir in powdered sugar to form a dough. Chill for 2 hours until firm.

    Roll into 1-inch balls and place on wax paper . Freeze for 10 minutes .

    Melt dark chocolate and butter in the microwave at 50% power. Dip balls into chocolate and let set on wax paper .
