1In a bowl , whisk together flour , sugar , baking powder , and - salt .

2In a separate bowl , whisk egg , milk , butter , and vanilla extract .

3Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined. A few lumps are fine.

4Heat a griddle or frying pan over medium heat. Lightly grease with butter .

5Pour 1/4 cup of the &batter per pancake onto the hot surface. Cook until bubbles form on surface and edges look set, about 2 minutes to 3 minutes .

6Flip and cook until golden brown on the other side, about 1 minute to 2 minutes more.
