- english cucumbers 2 medium
- salt 1 tsp
- red onion 1 medium
- distilled white vinegar 1 cup
- water Β½ cup
- sugar Β½ cup
- dill 2 tablespoon

1Slice english cucumbers into thin slices and place in a bowl.

2Season cucumbers with salt in a large bowl and let sweat for 1 hour .

3Slice red onion .

4Drain liquids and toss cucumbers with onion slices.

5In a small saucepan over hight heat, pour in distilled white vinegar and water and stir in sugar until dissolved and liquid turns clear 3-5 minutes .

6Pour over cucumbers and onions. Stir in dill . Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour . Serve cold or at room temperature.
