- all purpose flour 2 cups
- baking soda 1 teaspoon
- salt Β½ teaspoon
- butter Β½ cup
- sugar 1 cup
- eggs 2
- mashed bananas 1 cup
- milk 0.33 cup
- lemon juice 1 teaspoon

- 9x5x3 inch pan

1Sift the all purpose flour with the baking soda and salt .

2Cream the butter and gradually add the sugar . Mix well.

3Add the eggs and mashed bananas and blend thoroughly.

4Combine the milk and lemon juice which will curdle a bit.

5Slowly and alternately fold in the flour mixture and milk mixture, beginning and ending with the dry ingredients.

6Blend well after each addition. Pour the batter into a lavishly buttered 9x5x3 inch pan .

7Bake in a preheated 350 degree F oven for 1 hour or until the bread springs back when lightly touched at the center.
