π₯ Ingredients
- butter 1 pound
- sugar 2 cups
- eggs 6
- flour 6 cups
- anise seed 5 tablespoons

1Soften butter until very soft.

2Mix sugar and butter.

3Add eggs and mix well.

4Add flour and anise seed mixing well.

5Stand in a cold place overnight.

6Roll to about 1/8 inch thick on well floured board. Use about 1/6 of dough at a time.

7Cut into circles or shapes.

8Use un-greased pan , bake in oven at about 350 to 375 degrees F until golden brown.

9For plain cookies, use brandy in place of anise seed.
