Creamy Beef and Shells

  • lean ground beef 1 lb
  • yellow onion 1 small, diced
  • garlic 5 cloves, minced
  • hot sauce 1 tsp
  • Worcestershire sauce 1 Tbsp
  • Italian seasoning 1 tsp
  • mustard powder 1/2 tsp
  • red pepper flakes
  • flour 1 Tbsp
  • beef broth 1 cup
  • tomato sauce 16 oz
  • tomato paste 1 Tbsp
  • cream cheese 1 Tbsp, softened
  • medium shell pasta 1/2 lb
  • half and half 1/2 cup
  • cheddar cheese 1 1/2 cups, shredded
  • fresh parsley
  • parmesan cheese

    Cook the lean ground beef and yellow onion .

    Add the garlic , hot sauce , Worcestershire sauce , Italian seasoning , mustard powder , and a pinch of red pepper flakes . Stir in flour .

    Add the beef broth , tomato sauce , tomato paste , and cream cheese . Let the sauce simmer.

    Cook the medium shell pasta .

    Decrease the heat to low and stir in the half and half . Remove from heat and stir in the cheddar cheese .

    Add the drained pasta and stir to combine. Garnish with fresh parsley and parmesan cheese .
