Chicken Pot Pie

  • onion, diced 1/3 cup
  • butter 1/3 cup
  • minced garlic
  • salt a little
  • pepper lots
  • flour 1/3 cup
  • bouillon cubes 2
  • water 1 cup
  • milk 1 cup
  • cooked chicken 2 1/2 cups
  • mixed vegetables, thawed 2 cups
  • pie crusts 2

    In a small pot , soften the onion, diced in the butter . After the onion has cooked a while, add the minced garlic , salt , and pepper .

    Add the flour , and cook briefly.

    Add the bouillon cubes followed by, in small increments, the water and milk , stirring each time until combined.

    Add the cooked chicken and mixed vegetables, thawed .

    Taste and adjust.

    Put the mixture into one of the pie crusts , and top with the other.

    Add to the oven and bake until the crust is golden brown, 30-40 minutes .
