Russian Tea Cakes

🥘 Ingredients

  • butter, softened 1 cup
  • confectioners' sugar ½ cup
  • vanilla 1 tsp
  • flour 2 ¼ cups
  • salt ¼ tsp
  • finely chopped walnuts ¾ cup

🍳 Cookware

  • ungreased cookie sheet

    Preheat oven to 400°F.

    Mix butter, softened , 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar , and vanilla .

    Mix in flour , salt , and finely chopped walnuts until dough holds together.

    Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place about 1-inch apart on an ungreased cookie sheet .

    Bake until set, but not brown; about 10 to 12 minutes .

    Roll in confectioners' sugar while warm, then let cool.
  7. 7
    Roll in confectioners' sugar again.
