Salsa Verde

🥘 Ingredients

  • tomatillos 8
  • jalapeños 2
  • garlic 3 cloves
  • onion 1 small
  • cilantro 1 cup
  • salt ½ tsp
  • water ½ cup

🍳 Cookware

  • cast-iron pan
  • high-speed blender

    Add the tomatillos , jalapeños , garlic , and onion to a dry cast-iron pan . Place the pan over medium-high heat and toast the vegetables until blackened on all sides, about 15 minutes .

    Transfer to a high-speed blender and add the cilantro , salt , and 1/2 cup water and blend until smooth.

    Store in a sealed container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
