- bittersweet chocolate 6 oz

1In a medium, heavy saucepan over medium heat, combine heavy cream , corn syrup , dark brown sugar , unsweetened cocoa powder , salt , and half of the bittersweet chocolate . Bring the mixture to a boil, stirring until the chocolate pieces are completely melted.

2Reduce heat and cook at a low boil, stirring occasionally, for about 5 minutes . Remove the pan from the heat and add in unsalted butter , vanilla , and remaining chocolate, stirring until smooth.
