- smoked pork belly 200 g
- cabbage 500 g
- carrots 2
- potatoes 2
- yellow onion 1
- butter 1 tbsp
- syrup 2 tsp
- allspice berries 10
- bay leaf 1
- vegetable broth 15 dl
- salt
- pepper

1Cut smoked pork belly into small pieces.

2Trim and cut cabbage into 2 cm pieces. Peel and dice carrots , potatoes and yellow onion .

3In a pot , fry the pork belly pieces until they release fat and begin to crisp.

4Add cabbage and onion to the pot with the pork belly and butter . Brown until they get some color. Drizzle syrup over and cook for another minute.

5Add carrot and potato cubes, allspice berries , bay leaf and vegetable broth .

6Simmer for 30 minutes .

7Season with salt and pepper to taste.

8Serve with bread.
