🥘 Ingredients

  • onions 2
  • olive oil
  • garlic 4 cloves
  • cayenne pepper ½ tsp
  • cumin 1 tbsp
  • oregano 2 tsp
  • Spanish chili ½
  • jalapeño chili ½
  • habanero chili ¼
  • tomato sauce 1000 g
  • cocoa powder 15 g
  • bay leaf 1
  • salt 2 tsp
  • black beans 380 g
  • kidney beans 380 g
  • lime juice 2 tbsp
  • cilantro 10 g
  • brown rice

    Sauté onions with olive oil in a large pot until soft and translucent.

    Add garlic and cook for another minute.

    Add cayenne pepper , cumin , oregano , Spanish chili , jalapeño chili , habanero chili , and stir for about 2 minutes .

    Add tomato sauce , cocoa powder , bay leaf salt , and bring to a simmer for at least 5 minutes .

    Add black beans and kidney beans , and leave on low-medium heat for about 20 minutes while stirring every now and then.

    Add lime juice and cilantro , and let rest for about 10 minutes before serving.

    Serve with brown rice .
