🥘 Ingredients

- yeast 1 Tbsp
- flour 2 Tbsp
- bread flour 1 ½ cups
- confectioners' sugar 2 Tbsp
- salt ¼ tsp
- milk 2 Tbsp
- eggs 2
- unsalted butter 6 Tbsp
- tea towel
- egg wash 1

1Warm and let milk just above body temperature.

2Prepare the yeast by adding milk and flour .

3In a separate bowl , add bread flour , confectioners' sugar , and salt .

4Add yeast to dry ingredients.

5Add milk , eggs , and room temperature unsalted butter to mixture.

6Put in lightly oiled bowl and cover with plastic wrap.

7Rest by sitting out on counter for 30 minutes .

8Chill 8 to 24 hours in refrigerator to slow fermentation and develop flavor.

9Roll and shape in log, cut into 6 pieces, roll and shape, press into brioche tins , cover with tea towel and rise at room temperature 90 minutes

10For loaf, add all 6 pieces to a single loaf pan. Brush with egg wash and bake at 350°F for 25 minutes . For loaf, bake a littler longer.

11Cool in tins for 10 to 15 minutes and turn out on a wire rack .
