- red lentils 5 cups
- onion 2 medium
- garlic 3 cloves
- coconut oil 3 tbsp
- black mustard seeds 1 tbsp
- fenugreek 1@tsp
- turmeric 1 tbsp
- cumin seed 1 tsp
- coriander seed 1 tbsp
- tomato paste 2 tbsp
- chicken stock
- lemon juice 1 lemon
- salt
- pepper

1Soak red lentils overnight.

2Sweat onion and minced garlic in coconut oil and add black mustard seeds , fenugreek , turmeric , cumin seed , and coriander seed .

3Add strained and rinsed lentils, tomato paste and chicken stock to cover. Simmer for an hour.

4Add lemon juice and season with salt and pepper to taste.
