Cut and core @apples{6 to 8}.

Mix @sugar{3/4 to 1%cup}, @all-purpose flour{2%tablespoons} and @cinnamon{1/2 to 1%teaspoons} with the apples.

Line #9-inch pie plate{} with pastry.

Fill with apple mixture and dot with @butter{2%tablespoons}.

Add top crust and cut slits for escape of steam.

Sprinkle with sugar.

Bake at 400 degrees for ~{50%minutes}.
